TechTools Privacy Policy

TechTools' Privacy Policy

Data Submitted in Forms:

Any information provided by the customer through the website or by any other means is used to complete the customer's order, collect payment and provide customer support. We do not sell or rent any customer information to anyone. We use 3rd parties to validate submitted information and to receive Credit Card Authorizations before shipping an order. For example, we will verify that the provided credit card billing address matches what the credit card issuer has on file. All such verifications are done through secure links to protect your privacy and information. Your Credit Card number, expiration and CCV code are submitted from your browser, directly to the credit card processor. They return a 'result code' and a 'transaction code' to us to reference the charge. These codes are what we store in our databases. We never handle, store or even see your card numbers.

Google Analytics Tracking:

This website uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the site. The tool uses "cookies," which are small text snippets stored by your browser, to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information in an ANONYMOUS form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for us. We do not (and do not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifiable information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our website. For further information about how Google Analytics uses cookies and IP address data, see:

Google Conversion Tracking:

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking to help us determine which Google Ads generate sales. When you click on one of our Ads in Google Search, Google sets a cookie on your machine to identify which Ad you clicked. If you order a product from our website, that Ad ID is sent to Google so that they can correlate the Ad that received the click with the fact it resulted in an order. NO INFORMATION ABOUT YOU OR THE ORDER IS SENT. This simply correlates which clicks generate orders and which ones do not.

In addition to the cookies set by Google as described above, We set a Cart ID cookie when you add something to your shopping cart. Your browser returns this CART ID to us each time you interact with the cart so that we know WHICH cart to retrieve and update. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In particular, the shopping cart will not function as we would have no way to determine which cart is yours.

Web Server Logs:

We use the most popular Web Server on the net: Apache. It, like all web servers, maintains logs for maintenance, diagnostic and statistical purposes. For each item fetched from our website (web page, image, style sheet...), Apache creates a log entry with the following information: IP, time-stamp,URL, result (OK,missing..), file size, referrer and the browser agent. We aggregate this information to produce statistics about our site usage (like the most popular pages and file downloads).
