Easy, Fast Navigation
Features
Navigating a single capture that can span from a few milliseconds
to a few months, or searching thousands of such captures would be discouraging
under normal circumstances, but DigiView's software features make this an easy
task.
DigiView has multiple features that will snap, zoom, search and scroll the data using the mouse wheel, mouse clicks, mouse drags and the keyboard.
Markers can be dropped in a view, snapped to the next data change, snapped to the next search result, jumped to from anywhere and measured with adjacent markers.
All linked views track and scroll to the time reference of other windows within the group.

Highlights of DigiView's
Navigation features:
- Waveform Views - Wave Form views are the
central focus of navigating and analyzing the huge amount of data in a single
capture. In waveform views you can Zoom quickly to different resolutions (using
the Mouse Wheel, Keyboard or zoom buttons), snap to edges or beginning of
Frames, jump to a marker's position, Scroll a position to center by a click and
zoom, Drag Scroll and much more.
- Markers - Markers have several uses. They
can be used to measure time or signal specific measurements or to 'bookmark'
locations. They are also very powerful for navigation when analyzing the data.
The marker position can be brought into view by a single click on DigiView's
"Quick Select Flags". You can also drag a marker from these same flags and drop
it on the waveform to have the marker bring the next transition of a signal
into view (Drag & Snap).
- Button Symmetry (single button for paired
functions)- We make extensive use of the right mouse button. Most
functions have naturally paired operations. Most paired functions are natural
opposites (like left/right, in/out, first/last, previous/next). We take
advantage of this symmetry to double up the functions of most buttons and other
clicks. This not only reduces desktop usage but also results in more natural,
easier to remember functions.
- Bird's-Eye View - As you navigate through
the data, you can look at the BirdsEye to see exactly where you are in the data
and how fast you are progressing through it. When you have both waveform
windows open you can see their relative zoom levels as well as positions. You
can click on the BirdsEye window to scroll a waveform window to the area of the
data clicked on. Clicking near a marker indicator in the Bird's-eye will bring
the position of the marker into view.
- Link Groups - Link groups provide
Synchronous Scrolling of a group of windows that display data. When several
windows are part of the same Link Group, each window will automatically update
and scroll when any member of the group changes its center time. The time
reference and displayed data of each member will "center" on the time the
changing member centers on. This feature keeps a group of windows synchronized
to the same time in the captured data.
